I have deep experience designing interaction and UI motion for products that live in the home, from the first Hive smart thermostat to Logitech concepts like a Harmony remote with profiles for kids and adults and Kiki, a smart alarm clock with a personality. In 15+ years I've worked with design and engineering teams at Logitech, eBay, Hive and Ultimate Ears. Most recently I led design at Ardent, a Mac desktop app, where I owned the product, the design system and production front-end code.
Motion is how an interface tells you it heard you, what’s selected and what comes next. There’s a fine line between motion that makes a product feel fast and motion that makes it feel slow or like it’s trying too hard, and that line is where I do my best work. I’ve also spent 10+ years as a front-end engineer and code many of the animations myself, so they ship the way they were designed.
Kiki was a smart alarm clock concept for Logitech's smart home line, controlled by voice and touch. Her screen was almost empty, so motion carried the personality: two small eyes that listen, think, get confused and fall asleep. Voice needed expressive, character-driven feedback to show Kiki had heard you. Touch needed quick, quiet confirmation. I worked with Logitech's design and engineering teams on the interactions and delivered seamless Lottie loops directly to engineering with a motion spec for implementation.

Incora is the first wearable earring that gives personalized health insights based on the menstrual cycle, using in-ear sensors to track heart rate, sleep and activity. I led visual design for the connected app, covering creative direction, prototypes, data visualization and the UI kit. The overnight recovery score is a geometric bloom that grows from a few sparse petals on a rough night to a full flower on a good one. I prototyped the motion so engineers could build it as designed.

One system for every screen
A UI kit with type, color, icons and reusable components, from buttons and inputs up to complex chart modules. It gave engineers a single source of truth and kept every screen consistent as the app grew.
Concept UI motion for a next-generation Logitech Harmony remote with a touchscreen and voice control. The remote wakes to a profile picker, so everyone in the house, kids included, gets their own shows. I designed the motion for waking, switching profiles, voice search, browsing and sending a show to the TV, so every change of state is easy to read at a glance on a small screen.

Interaction and UI motion for the first-generation Hive smart thermostat, in collaboration with Fuseproject. We delivered vision demos, looping Lottie files and a detailed motion spec to the engineering team at British Gas, so the transitions were built as designed.
eBay wanted motion to signal quality and guide shoppers through the funnel as it launched products in China. With DesignMap, I audited the site and apps, defined an eBay motion style, and built 11 pure-CSS React components in a documented Storybook. Animated CTAs lifted click-through by 5%, roughly 500,000 conversions, and eBay's engineers had the first component on staging one day after delivery.
omPoint is an EFT tapping app for anxiety, stress, focus and pain, founded by High-Performance Mindfulness Coach Jake Rauchbach. Working with Guidea, who led the research, I designed the experience from the ground up, including the brand, 40+ hand-painted watercolor illustrations, the interaction design and the motion. I delivered motion prototypes with exact timing and easing so the build matched the feel.
A patented gesture for rating how you feel before and after each session. SUDS (Subjective Units of Distress Scale) is a self-reported measure of pain, anxiety or stress.

Most recently I was Head of Design, and the only designer, at Ardent, an early-stage startup building a Mac desktop agent platform. I took it from prototype to public beta and owned the product, the brand and a design system in Figma and in code that let engineers ship complete features without a designer on every step. I also shipped production React myself. This film is built from the real product UI.
